Gourd Birdhouse Workshop
at Longleaf Botanical Gardens
Welcome spring birds to your yard
with a hand-painted gourd birdhouse.
Peggy Mayo will conduct a workshop on
Saturday, February 10, 2018, to help you
create your own gourds. Supplies and
painting instructions will be supplied.
Peggy has been working with gourds
for seventeen years and has exhibited
and sold her creations at many galleries
and craft events. Wear your painting
clo thes and join us for a fun workshop.

Saturday Alive! Birds of Prey
What’s that in the sky? Come find out at
Anniston Museum of Natural History’s
Saturday Alive! Birds of Prey show! Meet
raptors from all over the United States,
of different shapes and sizes! Visitors
will learn what makes birds of prey such
incredible hunters, what makes these
creatures different from each other, and
how to deal with an injured bird of prey.
This program is free with paid museum
admission. Members are free.

PFC Steven A. McDowell was falsely
accused in June of 2016 on two felony
burglary charges in the city of Huntsville,
Alabama. In January 2017 he was arrested.
He faced trial for these charges on August
15, 2017 and could have potentially spent
20+ years in prison. On January 30th, I
presented clear cut evidence to the Police
and D.A. in this case to show that Steven
was NOT the suspect in surveillance
videos of the crime scenes. They chose to
move ahead with an indictment in March,
despite this evidence. That’s when I kicked
February 2018 45
