We will be giving any local soul brave enough the
opportunity to sign up for 5 minutes in the spotlight!..Tell about your craft, sing, dance, perform,
or basically any idea worth sharing with your community.
Want to promote your business or club? Bring
plenty of business cards and flyers! Dust off that
elevator pitch and promote what you do. Are you
a visual artist or interior designer? Bring your portfolio! Bring some samples to hang or display on the
walls. Are you a musician? Bring your instrument
and we'll give you an open mic! Bring a demo CD
for us to play as background music. Are you in local
government or a fellow member of the Chamber of
Commerce? Come tell us what direction you'd like
to see Anniston and Calhoun County Head. Are you

• Tiny Tots Lapsit Storytime
Jacksonville City Library – 10 am
Jacksonville Public Library will offer a “lapsit” storytime for children ages 0-24 months every second
and fourth Tuesday at 10am beginning September
10. The child will sit in the parent’s lap while engaged in stories, music, finger plays and other fun
age-appropriate activities. Older preschool children who accompany their parent and sibling will
serve as helpers. Lapsit will start promptly at 10am
and will last approximately 30 minutes. Parents are
welcome to stay longer to share with other parents.
It is free and there is no sign-up required
