$8.00 to $10.00. “We’ve built the tax in so
the prices include tax and include a drink.”
Combos also include fries or a side salad
complete with tomatoes, cucumbers, olives,
feta cheese, and homemade dressing.
“Monday through Friday we’ve got a pretty
set schedule, and we’re going to run with
that for now,” Landers says. “But it could
change. That‘s really the trick . . . putting
ourselves in the best location.”
Landers says he’s hoping to begin booking
more events and locations for weekends
saying Effie’s Mobile Kitchen is available
to be “hired out”. “We’ll go to somebody’s
home. If somebody’s going to have a big
dinner party or just a big party and wanted
to do something special . . . I could do a fish
fry or we could do the gyros or mexican
or I could even do upscale,” Landers says.
“I could do filet mignons.” With a 4 burner
range in the truck, Landers is able to
prepare just about any type of meal you
could request.
Both Effina’s Downtown in Anniston and
Effina’s Tuscan Grill in Jacksonville have

been popular spots for delicious Italian
meals for years, and you may sometimes
find Effina’s favorites at the food truck.
However, Landers says he enjoys cooking a
variety of foods and Effie’s Mobile Kitchen
gives him the freedom to explore those
possibilities. “I love to do Mexican, I like to
do cheesesteaks and gyros and cuban type
food.”
Effie’s Mobile Kitchen also offers a text
ahead option. “We put our menu, the
location, our time, all the information on
our Facebook . . . we post it a day or two in
advance so they can see what we’re going
to have and the prices,” Landers says. “If you
want an advanced order or if you’re in an
office and 5 or 6 of you want to order just
get the order together, text it to us, give
us your name and the time you want to
pick it up, and we’ll have it ready.” The text
