WELCOME

Me ( left ) and my lovely friend , Yvette , just a little bit excited about watching Ghost - The Musical ( p22 ).
March is a glorious month .
The days get even longer , the sun shines a little bit brighter and everyone has a little bit of early spring in their step . Admittedly , I ’ m not the most sentimental of people , but Mother ’ s Day is a poignant day for me every year , partly because my own mum lives 250 miles away and I miss being able to spend the day with her , and partly because I ’ m a mum myself , so it resonates twofold .
If you ’ re thinking of treating your mum on March 26th , we ’ ve put together some handy tips on how you can best celebrate at home , beginning your day with an indulgent breakfast and finishing it with a five-star dinner ( p46 ). And , if you want to spoil her further with something special to say thank you for everything she ’ s done , take a look at our gift guide on p62 for some great ideas .
One of my favourite ‘ mum memories ’ was seeing my youngest skip off to school on her very first day last September . Each child is so different and choosing the right school for them is one of the most important decisions you ’ ll make . Turn to p85 for our 12-page Sussex education special where you ’ ll find information on some of the county ’ s top schools alongside a handy parents ’ guide to surviving revision ( p90 ) and a quick-fire Q & A with the head of Seaford College ( p93 ).
Don ’ t forget to stay in touch on Facebook and Twitter (@ insideSUSSEXmag ) to let us know what you think . You ’ re likely to come across some brilliant competitions that way too .

Wyldsson Hazelnut and Cocoa spread
All hail Wyldsson ’ s newest spread – Hazelnut and Cocoa , which is vegan , palm oil free , and has twice the protein , none of the refined sugar and half the saturated fat of Nutella . Which really just means you can eat more of it in my book .

Spitfire Heritage Gin
A new botanical single-estate , small-batch gin made by the world ’ s number one gin maker , wonderfully refreshing Spitfire Heritage Gin is distilled in the style of an authentic 1930 ’ s tipple . Created to celebrate the ATA ‘ girls ’ who flew Spitfires during WWII , it tastes sublime and includes borage ( for courage ), rosemary ( for remembrance ), rose petals ( for the flowers of Britain ) and blood orange ( because some of those brave ATA women paid the ultimate price ).
