WELCOME December is a tough act to follow and many of us can’t help but view January as a month-long hangover, not just from Christmas excess, but from the money we’ve spent and the late nights that we’re now paying for. But, let’s change the record. January also heralds a brand new year, which allows us all the opportunity to make some really positive tweaks to our lives. Posing up a storm at Woodlandia, p22 Step one? Resolutions. Making massive ones is not only a risky game, but a game that apparently only eight per cent of people win at, so start small and check out our round up of achievable resolutions from p60. It’s likely after a fortnight of indulgence, you’ll need some motivation where diet and exercise is concerned too, so we have you covered with advice on how to kickstart your exercise regime (p66) and a handy guide on how to shape up your diet for 2017 (p43). It’s not all about abstinence though – January is also a great month to get together with family and friends and share the love around a big brunch table. To inspire your choice, we’ve rounded up the best brunch spots in Sussex from page 38. If you’re itching for a day/night out, turn to page 17 for four packed pages of Sussex events, and this month, our town spotlight falls on Hailsham (p31). A very Happy New Year to you all. Let’s make it a great one. Don’t forget to follow us on twitter @insideSUSSEXmag to let us know what you’re up to. MY FAVOURITE THINGS THIS MONTH...
