SLINFOLD GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB
Slinfold Golf and Country Club has experienced many exciting additions and improvements to its facilities over the years that have each proved a huge success . This has helped see the club become one of the premiere country club facilities in West Sussex and over into the Surrey border .
This autumn sees the arrival of yet more fabulous new facilities at the club , designed to enhance the experience for both members and guests each time they visit .
The club is delighted to announce the opening of its ‘ Jessica Nail Suite ’ at The Retreat . With its bright , vibrant colours , luxury manicure and pedicure chairs and a glass of prosecco if you choose , the suite is the ideal place to feel pampered and get those ‘ must have ’ GELeration nails for your hands and feet . The suite provides a striking contrast to the three existing luxury treatment rooms where the emphasis is on peace , tranquility and relaxation while indulging in a massage or facial with ESPA products .
Watched by a crowd of excited onlookers , and after much anticipation , the par-three short course at the club had its official opening to members in August . The Academy Course has been specifically designed to offer golfers an alternative to the existing mature 18-hole golf course . This will also compliment the use of the driving range to provide an all round golfing experience at the club . The course , nestled sympathetically within the landscape at the entrance to the club has two well established lakes and a beautiful vista to the surrounding Sussex countryside . The undulations in the course makes for a challenging and unusual environment that tests golfers with a handicap , while giving the novice golfer an introduction to playing prior to venturing onto the 18-hole course .
The club is also proud to introduce its members to a whole new training experience – in the fresh country air . A new , state-ofthe-art ‘ outdoor functional training zone ’ has been installed , enabling on-site personal trainers and members to use weight-bearing equipment outside to perform a number of core and muscle training exercises . The club is encouraging its members to embrace this element of an outdoor lifestyle by providing circuit training classes on the equipment that can , for the brave , be used all year round no matter what the weather .
Not a member at Slinfold ? Don ’ t worry , there ’ s no need to miss out on some of its superb facilities . A selection of areas are open for nonmembers and visitors to experience and enjoy too , including The Retreat and the Jessica Nail Suite , the driving range and Academy Golf Course , plus the Lounge Bar with its beautiful views over the Sussex countryside , serving Costa coffee and a ‘ daily specials ’ menu designed to be as healthy or as naughty as you choose . The head chef , Mark Young , has been leading his brigade for over a year , during which time the food offering at the club
has gone from strength to strength , providing delicious snacks to more sumptuous meals . So , whether you need a place to meet a business colleague for a coffee using the all important free wifi connection ; you want to top off your visit to The Retreat with a glass of prosecco ; or , you want to meet some friends for some food , the Lounge Bar is ready to welcome you .
The club is just five minutes from Billingshurst or Broadbridge Heath , and eight minutes from Horsham town .
