Dalloway // 17 Sep
Bring It On // 21-24 Sep
From the creators of The
Unremarkable Death of Marilyn
Monroe, Female Gothic, I,
Elizabeth and Austen's Women...
Bitingly relevant, sprinkled
with sass and inspired by
the hit film, Bring It On: The
Musical takes audiences on
a high-flying journey filled with
the complexities of friendship,
jealousy, betrayal, and
forgiveness. Campbell is cheer
royalty at Truman High School
and her senior year should prove
the most cheertastic – she's
been named captain of the
squad! But, an unexpected
redistricting has forced her to
spend her final year of high
school at the neighbouring, hard
knock Jackson High School. Despite having the deck stacked against her,
Campbell befriends the dance crew girls and, along with their headstrong
and hard-working leader Danielle, manages to form a powerhouse squad
for the ultimate competition - the National Championships.
1923: The War is over. While
Clarissa Dalloway prepares a party
in Westminster, Septimus Smith
is diagnosed with shell shock,
and their memories and dreams
magically intertwine with those
of 15 other disparate souls on
a hot blue day in June. Conjuring the hopes and regrets of middle and
upper class London, this adaptation of Virginia Woolf’s celebrated map
of hearts, minds and memories offers a compellingly feminine response
to the aftermath of the First World War. Written and directed by Elton
Townend Jones (The Unremarkable Death of Marilyn Monroe). Performed
by Rebecca Vaughan (Female Gothic, I, Elizabeth, Austen’s Women).
