Set in the former family home of Oliver Messel, her favourite costume and set designer, you’ll discover exhibits from Leigh’s personal archive on loan from the Victoria and Albert Museum, Picture credit ©National Trust London. From costumes and sketches / Vivien Leigh in Caesar and Cleopatra, 1945, Victoria and to photographs and scripts, you’ll see Albert Museum, London objects that reveal more about the private world of this glamorous figure. Love letters from her husband, Laurence Olivier, Leigh’s own diaries, and 3D stereoscopic slides offer a ‘behind the scenes’ glimpse into the life of Britain’s first international film star. They join many other artists including Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Peter Hook & The Light performing a Joy Division and New Order greatest hits set, and M. Ward. A dedicated lineup for kids has also been confirmed including headline acts and shows such as Aliens Love Underpants Live and LazyTown Live. Brighton festivals are teaming up for the first time and Photoworks will also be running family-friendly photography workshops at the Photoworks Photography Tent at Together The People. Together The People is an independent, greenfield, non-camping, music and arts festival. The primary focus is to celebrate music, food, community, film and arts within the city of Brighton, by delivering a highquality, creative, family-friendly and socially aware event. In 2015, the festival was powered by bio-diesel and solar technology; recycled over 5.3 tonnes of waste; and generated over £2,000 in public donations for local homeless charity, the Brighton Housing Trust. They all join the existing lineup, which includes Brian Wilson, with a UKfestival exclusive performance of Pet Sounds in its entirety for the record’s 50th anniversary.
