WIN A FAMILY WEEKEND TICKET TO ENGLAND’S MEDIEVAL FESTIVAL!
Have you ever wanted to go back in time? Find out what life was really
like in days of old? England’s Medieval Festival is in its 24th year and is
the most authentic, one-of-a-kind event in the UK, with a very special
blend of history and fun. It’s a unique chance to step back in time and
immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, smells and spectacular magic
of the past.
Set amongst the stunning historical setting of Herstmonceux Castle
in Sussex, the three-day festival is held over the August bank holiday.
Many of its regular visitors have been returning year after year and
now bring their own children to share this memorable experience. With
so much to see and do, it’s easy to see why grandparents, babies
and even pet dogs enjoy a visit to England’s Medieval Festival. For
those wishing to stay all weekend, there’s up to four nights camping,
medieval glamping, or, more luxuriously, real beds in the onsite B&B all
available.
As well as the amazing atmosphere, guests will encounter realistic
historical battles, a grand parade, jousting, falconry, archery, shopping
and traditional crafts like blacksmithing, calligraphy and woodland
workshops. Relax to traditional and modern folk music, take in a
theatrical performance, or perhaps enjoy some theatre in the mud.
The Kids’ Kingdom will keep little ones busy with everything from
jester school and magic shows to pony rides and shield making, while
you savour traditional food and drink, and day-to-day life as it was in
the past.
For weekend guests, the evening starts with a torch-lit procession
and an optional medieval banquet fit for a king. Children will love the
fireside storytelling, medieval stargazing and the outdoor cinema, while
music and dancing continues well into the night. Wizards, jesters,
knights, dragons and princesses await you. Come for the day or stay
all weekend!
