Village Larder – Pop-Up
Farm Shop at Haskins
// 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30 Jul
Romeo & Juliet // 1 Jul
The streets of Verona are fraught with ceaseless fighting between the
Montagues and the Capulets. Consequence, though, hangs in the
stars and when the children of these two great households meet in the
Capulet chapel, there is hope that their love will conquer all...
Family-run farm shop, Village Larder,
is open seven days a week and
located next to Squires Garden
Centre in Washington. Throughout
the summer, Village Larder will be
'popping up' at Haskins Garden Centre every Saturday until August
6th. With a selection of their high-welfare produce, including local fruit
and veg, and the finest bread, pastries and Sussex cheeses, every
customer spending £10 or more at the pop-up will receive a voucher to
redeem at the main shop in Washington.
After successful performances at St Botolph’s Church, ‘This is my
Theatre’ invite you to celebrate Shakespeare's 400th anniversary year
with their telling of his most famous love story, Romeo and Juliet, in
The Hawth’s beautiful woodland amphitheatre. Led by local theatre
director, Sarah Slator, modern characterisation, choral song and
physical acti ng techniques will bring this epic and emotional tale to life
in a performance of Shakespeare’s beloved tragedy not to be missed.
From 9am.
