NEWS MICHELIN STAR CHEF HEADLINES FOODIES FESTIVAL BRIGHTON The glittering line up of culinary talent at Brighton’s Foodies Festival, being held from April 30 to May 2, just got even more exciting with the announcement that Michelin-starred chef and Great British Menu winner, Matt Gillan, will headline this summer's festival.  Matt, recognised for pushing the boundaries of British cuisine with his use of technique and ingredients, will kick off the bank holiday celebrations on Hove Lawns with a showcase of his skills in the Chefs Theatre on Saturday April 30. “The Foodies Festival is a must-do event for anyone who enjoys great food and drink and a day out with friends,” said Matt. “I'm really looking forward to being part of the celebrations this summer and you will find me in the Chefs Theatre cooking some of my favourite recipes using seasonal ingredients. This year's line up looks fantastic, so I'm looking forward to exploring the festival after my demo, tucking into some street food, and browsing the Artisan Producers Market.” Festival director, Sue Hitchen, added: “We're very excited to have Matt join us this year. We followed his winning journey through Great British Menu and can't wait to see him cook live at the festival.” Now in it's seventh year, the Foodies Festival
