DAYSOUT summer holiday activities cont. Stagecoach Chatham Ski & Snowboard Centre www.stagecoach.co.uk // Nationwide www.jnlchatham.co.uk // Chatham, Kent Children and teenagers can make friends, have fun, and develop some great new skills at the fabulous Stagecoach holiday drama clubs and workshops. These workshops are designed for 8 to 18 year olds, with some areas offering tailored workshops for children aged 4 to 7 years. At the end of their time at one of the Stagecoach holiday workshops, the students will join together to showcase their newfound singing, acting and dancing skills to family and friends. Your child does not need previous dancing, singing or acting ability and does not need to have attended term-time Stagecoach schools. No auditions are required – just a willingness to give it a go! KidZania www.london.kidzania.co.uk // London If you thought skiing, snowboarding, and other snowy pursuits were strictly wintertime activities, think again. This summer why not try something a little different, and learn how to make your way down the slopes? Chatham Ski & Snowboard Centre has the longest artificial slope in Kent and the South East and is the premier snow sports’ facility in the region. It is also part of the company, which teaches more people to ski and snowboard than anyone else in the UK. The centre is open throughout the year and offers skiers and snowboarders of all levels the facilities to practice and learn new skills. There's an active ski club and snowboard club at the centre where you can meet and learn skills from others with similar interests. Go Ape www.goape.co.uk // Nationwide Go Ape is the UK’s number one forest adventure. Days out with Go Ape are about living life a little more adventurously, having fun with friends and family, and getting in touch with your inner Tarzan! The classic Go Ape experience is the two-to-three hour Tree Top Adventure. You will fly down our zipwires, leap off a ‘Tarzan Swing’, and tackle tricky crossings. There are 28 Go Ape adventures around the country, all set in some of Britain’s most spectacular forests. No two Tree Top Adventures are the same, and some locations offer other outdoor activities like the Tree Top Junior courses for kids and the brilliant Forest Segway Experience safaris. The Grizedale Forest Go Ape is home to our very first Zip Trekking Adventure. With Tree Top Junior, you can release your little monkeys onto a Go Ape course designed for them. No one loves adventure more than kids do! Let your kids explore a child-size city at Westfield London, where they can try out more than 60 real life role-play activities, from banking and acting to fighting crime as a police officer. Each of KidZania London’s immersive experiences is crafted to teach kids essential life skills including financial literacy and independence, so there’s plenty to learn as they explore the attraction. Many of the activities are run by high street names, such as Innocent Drinks, where the little ones can have a go at smoothie making; H&M, where they can learn about fashion and design; and Renault, which lets them have a go at changing tyres on a scale version of a Formula E racing car. There is even a British Airways terminal with an aircraft that’s home to an Aviation Academy and Cabin Crew Training.
