charity FOAMY FUN HEADS TO EAST SUSSEX FOR CHARITY FUNDRAISER Brighton is to become the first place in the south of England to host a new fundraising event. Demelza Hospice Care for Children is holding a Bubble Rush at the city’s racecourse on Saturday 18th July. The 5km run is for people of all ages who will have great fun running through walls of coloured foam. It starts at 11am with an energetic warm-up before participants will tackle the course and the four coloured foam stations along the way. The first 500 people to sign up will qualify for a special early bird discount price of £20 for adults and £5 for children under 12. After those places have sold out, it will cost £25 and £7.50 respectively. Anyone who raises £100 in sponsorship by a week after the event will have their entry fee refunded. Everyone signing up will get a Bubble Rush t-shirt, a specially designed medal and a goody bag. There will be three groups of runners with different start times throughout the day and this will be the first time the event has been staged in the South East. The charity is also to host a Bubble Rush in Dartford, Kent, on Sunday 16th August. Demelza’s events manager Emma Middleton said: “We are so excited about being the first charity to host a Bubble Rush event in the south of England. “We have seen one in action elsewhere in the country and the atmosphere was absolutely brilliant. It’s a great fun day out for all the family and will be a day to remember for all those who take part. THE DALE HILL 180 HOLE CHALLENGE On the 16th July 2015, four golfers will compete against the clock to try and complete 10 rounds of golf in a day. Golf will start at first light around 4.30AM; the format will be Texas Scramble with the aim to score as low as possible for all 10 rounds. The golf will be rotated between the two courses at Dale Hill; The Ian Woosnam course, designed by the former Ryder Cup Captain and US Masters winner Mr Ian Woosnam and the Dale Hill course. 88 The event is being held to raise money for Kent, Sussex and Surrey Air Ambulance ,which is Dale Hill’s captains charity for the year. The Dale Hill team are looking for sponsorship. Anyone can sponsor, either by a straight donation or by sponsoring the players for how many birdies they will make in the day.
