FOAMY FUN HEADS TO EAST SUSSEX FOR
CHARITY FUNDRAISER
Brighton is to become the first place in the south of England to host a
new fundraising event. Demelza Hospice Care for Children is holding a
Bubble Rush at the city’s racecourse on Saturday 18th July.
The 5km run is for people of all ages who will have great fun running
through walls of coloured foam.
It starts at 11am with an energetic warm-up before participants will
tackle the course and the four coloured foam stations along the way.
The first 500 people to sign up will qualify for a special early bird
discount price of £20 for adults and £5 for children under 12.
After those places have sold out, it will cost £25 and £7.50
respectively. Anyone who raises £100 in sponsorship by a week after the
event will have their entry fee refunded.
Everyone signing up will get a Bubble Rush t-shirt, a specially
designed medal and a goody bag.
There will be three groups of runners with different start times
throughout the day and this will be the first time the event has been
staged in the South East.
The charity is also to host a Bubble Rush in Dartford, Kent, on
Sunday 16th August.
Demelza’s events manager Emma Middleton said: “We are so
excited about being the first charity to host a Bubble Rush event in the
south of England.
“We have seen one in action elsewhere in the country and the
atmosphere was absolutely brilliant. It’s a great fun day out for all the
family and will be a day to remember for all those who take part. We really
hope it will be an enjoyable way for our supporters to raise vital funds for
Demelza.”
