WEDDINGS Top Wedding Hair Trends for 2015 Your wedding day is your chance to wear a fairy tale dress, have your makeup done for you by an expert (with a bit of pampering thrown in), and wear your hair in a style you might never before have considered. It’s the one day when you can allow yourself the luxury of spending time – sometimes hours – on getting the perfect ‘do’, and the right hairstyle can make all the difference when it comes to looking absolutely stunning on your big day. by Lisamarie Lamb Every year new trends and styles come onto the scene, showcasing what’s hot in hair fashion. So what kind of styles should you be looking at for your 2015 wedding? 1. Small Flowers 4. 1970’s Chic Forward fashion loves looking backwards, and often gets its inspiration from the styles of the past. We shouldn’t be surprised, then, that the simple, elegant look of the 1970’s is back – long, straight hair, a centre parting, and simple adornments make this an adorable do. 5. Plaits Plaits are back, and what a good thing they are! There are so many different styles of plait, one to suit each face shape and hair length, so speak to your stylist about which one will work best for you. Some examples are the halo braid that sweeps around the front of the head; French plaits which look stunning in long hair, especially when combined with small flowers or coloured ribbon; fishtail plaits which can start low or high; or an undercut braid which is a subtle little plait on the side of the head. Flowers in the bride’s hair have always been a popular idea, but rather than the bold bright blooms of the past, this year it’s all about small and delicate.
