Davina’s Big Sussex Bike Ride,
7th June 2015,and join her as she rides for a reason
Charity ambassador and local hero Davina McCall is inviting all willing cyclists
to join her and raise funds for sick babies and children, on 7th June 2015 at the
East Sussex National Hotel and Golf Course, near Uckfield. This is the fifth year
she’s been hosting a cycle ride for Action Medical Research, a charity that she’s
supported since she was a child and she’s encouraging you, whatever shape,
size and levels of fitness, to take part!
There are three route options on Davina’s Big Sussex Bike Ride, so there’s
no excuse not to participate. If you’re new to cycling or looking for an
early finish you can choose to cycle the Cool 21-mile route; if you’re more
advanced and feel like a challenge you can sign up for the Classic 40-mile
route; and if you’re an experienced pro then the Champion 68-mile route is
the one for you.
All cyclists, including Davina, will start together, in the tranquil grounds of
the East Sussex National Hotel and Golf Course before continuing into
the quiet lanes of the surrounding area, through picturesque villages and
stunning scenery. There are well stocked feed stops around the route,
mechanical support, first aiders and massage therapists on hand and there
will be a hearty BBQ lunch at the finish! All you need to do is register and
pay £30 for the Fundraising option (with a pledge to raise an additional
minimum of £35 in sponsorship) or £55 for the Sportive option, which is a
one-off inclusive fee.
Davina says: “I can’t wait to get back into the saddle to support my
favourite charity, Action Medical Research, and I can’t wait to see all the
lovely ladies (and a few gents) on the day! What better way to motivate
yourself to get and stay fit, than to sign up for this fantastic ride? Absolutely
anyone can participate as there is a route for everyone, regardless of your
current fitness level, and it’s a fun day out for a fantastic cause. So come

Money raised by riders in Davina’s Big Sussex Bike Ride will help fund
medical research into conditions affecting babies and children. The charity
is currently supporting work around meningitis, Down’s syndrome, epilepsy
and premature birth, as well as some rare and distressing conditions that
severely affect children.
