The Lene Lovich Band // 4 Mar
The Lene Lovich Band is back on the road in the UK to celebrate the first
ever digital release of Lene’s ‘lost’ third album, No Man’s Land. Regarded
by many of her hardcore fans as one of her best works, No Man’s Land
was released in 1982 after Lene’s relationship with her label Stiff Records
had soured. As such it received little promotion at the time, and slipped
into obscurity. Soon after, Lene herself turned her back on the limelight,
emerging only sporadically for the next 30 years. However, since 2012,
with the renewed vigour of the Lene Lovich Band behind her, she has
been reclaiming her rightful place as one of rock music’s most dazzling
and shamanic performers. Expect all the hits including “Lucky Number”,
“Say When”, “I Think We’re Alone Now”, “Bird Song” and “New Toy”, but
also a special emphasis on the live favourites from No Man’s Land, such
as “Rocky Road”, “It’s You, Only You” and the much loved “Blue Hotel”.
Don’t miss this rare chance to catch sight of this iconic performer at the
peak of her power!
