Insider Music Your guide to the UK’s biggest music festivals Around this time of year, tickets for the biggest and best festi- vals the UK has to offer are up for grabs… but which one should you invest in? Read this to make your decision. Reading & Leeds Headliners this year for this (mainly rock music) festival, in- clude The 1975, The Foo Fighter, Twenty One Pilots, Post Malone an amazing mix of British and American acts. Reading & Leeds fes- tival goers say it can be whatever you make it; a family friendly weekend or a teenage rave, but guarantee it will be an unforgettable ex- perience. Top tips:  Buy a bigger tent to fit your stuff in, if there’s 2 people sharing a tent, get a 3 man as it’s a good idea to keep your stuff inside where it can’t be taken.  Camp slightly up- hill and away from the path.  Make your tent recognisable with lights, glow in the dark paint, flags, etc.  Bring bin bags, wipes and gaffer tape– trust me on this one. Stash spare money in your phone case and don’t bring too much. Reviews “I thought it was really good, centrally located so can park or stay in a hotel if camping isn't your thing. Food and drink were quite expensive. Bands and acts were easy to get to, clear sound.”  Latitude Headliners this year are George Ezra, Snow Pat- Action At Reading Fes- tival 2018 rol and Lana Del Ray plus many more in- die artists. Latitude is per- haps a ‘calmer’ festival with family areas and fun work- shops so this festival is ideal for families, first-time festi- val go-ers and of course for music lovers. Top tips:  To camp in a quieter area, ask gate staff on ar- rival and they’ll point you in the right direction.  BBQs are al- lowed but recy- cle at one of the recycling sta- tions in the site. Reviews “Our first time at Latitude as a family. Loved it! Plenty of choice for food, plenty of gluten free The College magazine online: sixthformmag.blogspot.co.uk
