Suzi, who is the branch’s store manager, was recognised by her colleagues for always going above and beyond to give her customers excellent service and keeping the store running smoothly with consistently high standards, despite the challenges of Covid-19. During the broadcast, Simon Cowell said: “I want to thank Suzi Price, and her team at M&S Hempstead Valley for delivering a great service for her customers during these difficult times.” Suzi commented on the recognition: “I have never felt prouder to lead my amazing team at M&S Hempstead Valley. We’re working hard for our customers and it was so lovely for my team and I to have a shout out on TV.” Earlier this year, M&S Food announced that it has renewed its sponsorship with ITV’S Britain’s Got Talent, the UK’s most popular family TV show. Building on the success of last year’s partnership, M&S Food has created an exciting program of activity to bring delicious, high quality M&S Food into the living rooms of families across the UK every Saturday night, across the show itself and associated app and website, with lots of new features and surprises in the coming weeks. M&S Hempstead Valley is open, from 8am-8pm Monday to Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sunday, with special opening hours for older/vulnerable customers and NHS, health and social care workers. Cathy Worman, a care worker at the New Romney-based Madeira Lodge Care Home received direct praise from the Duke of Cambridge, during a video call facilitated by The Care Workers’ Charity to help him speak directly to frontline social care workers. His Royal Highness held a video call with care workers from different parts of the sector across England, including those providing care within people’s homes, personal assistance, and supported living services. The Duke heard about the measures that they have taken to ensure that they can continue to deliver care throughout the coronavirus outbreak, including by self-isolating from their own families. The participants discussed the impact that these measures have had on their own mental wellbeing, and the crucial need to support social care workers on the frontline of the coronavirus. HRH also heard about the work that is being carried out by The Care Workers Charity to help those across the social care sector. During this call, The Duke said: “If there’s hopefully some positivity that comes out of this horrendous time, it is that there’s a light shone on all of the wonderful things you all do and on the social care sector, and it allows people to acknowledge, respect and appreciate everything that you are doing.” You can keep the UK caring and donate at the Coronaviruscareworkersfund’s Just Giving page www.justgiving.com/campaign/coronaviruscareworkersfund 49
