Repairing Avocado Mask Avocado is rich in so many nutrients including vitamins A, D and E, beta-carotene, potassium (the 'youth mineral'), proteins, lecithin and essential fatty acids. It also contains plant steroids called sterolins which help to soften and moisturise the skin, reduce age spots and heal sun damage and scars. Another great thing about Avocado is that it has emollient properties and assists in the regeneration and rejuvenation of the skin. This makes it ideal for mature skin, as well as eczema and psoriasis-prone skin, and skin that’s easily dehydrated or has experienced sun damage. For normal skin types: • Mash the flesh of half a medium-sized organic avocado into a creamy texture. • Apply the mixture to your skin on the same day you make it, and leave on the face and neck for 15-20 minutes. • Gently rinse off with warm water then, if you wish, dab your skin with cool Green Tea 42 For oily skin types • Combine the mashed flesh of half a medium-sized organic avocado with 1 tablespoon of Manuka honey. • Massage the mask mixture into the face and neck and leave on for 15-20 minutes. • Gently rinse off with warm water then, if you wish, dab your skin with cool Green Tea. For very dry and mature skin types • Combine the mashed flesh of half a medium-sized organic avocado with 1 tablespoon of Manuka honey and 1 teaspoon of freshly squeezed organic lemon juice. • Massage the mask mixture into the face and neck and leave on the skin for 15-20 minutes. • Gently rinse off with warm water then, if you wish, dab your skin with cool Green Tea
