Can you believe it’s already the last official
month of summer?
Happy to have received the Highly Commended
award for Magazine of the Year at the
Kent Press & Broadcast Awards
I hope you have a lengthy list of plans
to make the most of it, whether it’s
building sandcastles at Botany Bay,
sipping a cocktail at Rocksalt,
exploring the gardens at Hever Castle
or dancing the night away at Leefest.
I, for one, will be soaking up every last
bit of warmth and sunshine before it
goes away.
When I first moved to Kent, I would find
something new to marvel at on a daily basis:
the white cliffs, the rolling hills, the dramatic
coastline and the quaint high streets. But as
with everything, that newness doesn’t last,
and you start to carry on with your
day-to-day without noticing, or taking
advantage of, the beauty around you.

summer in Kent, whether that’s by sipping a
cocktail, visiting a lido, or enjoying an ice
cream (Kentish, of course!). Visit page 137 for

at the 2017 Kent Press & Broadcast Awards.
