BUSINESSNEWS AMF ASHFORD SET TO TRANSFORM INTO HOLLYWOOD BOWL FOLLOWING £300,000 REFURBISHMENT The bright lights of Ashford are set to become home to a dazzling Hollywood Bowl this summer, as the popular AMF Ashford undergoes a major £300,000 refurbishment. The stunning redesign will see the bowling centre undergo a full rebrand and refurbishment to include a brand-new Hollywood Diner, serving gourmet dogs and burgers, freshly made shakes served in retro milk bottles, and signature desserts. The Diner will sit alongside a brand-new American-style bar serving house speciality cocktails and a wide range of beers and wines. Hollywood Bowl Ashford will be home to four Hollywood legend themed VIP lanes, and guests will soon be able to enjoy the all-star treatment in a plush roped off area, with special pool-style bowling balls and funky coloured pins. The VIP lanes can be booked over the phone, or subject to availability; upgraded to in the centre, from as little as an additional £1 per person, per game. The refurbishment will also see the arrival of brand new pool tables, ideal for enjoying some relaxed fun with family and friends. Any of the Centre’s 18 lanes can be pre- booked, and with lots of different areas to relax in the Diner and bar area, Hollywood Bowl is perfect for celebrations of all occasions; from family gatherings and children’s parties to nights out, work functions and informal work socials. Team members are also always on- hand to help set up ramps and in-lane bumpers that give little ones a great chance of beating the adults. The Centre’s impressive amusement area has also been part of the transformation and features the latest industry leading games such as Jurassic Park and MOTO GP Bikes, retro games like Crossy Road and old favourites like crane games with the latest movie related prizes. To top it all off, there is the added opportunity to ‘Play for Prizes’, where customers can collect tickets won on their favourite games and exchange them for great goodies, from candy to a remote controlled Red Bull Formula 1. Located in the centre of the scenic Weald, HAMERTON + JONES offers a collection of curated antiques, modern homeware and gifts, as well as a beautiful selection of lifestyle books. Brands include Tinkehome, Ottomania, Bohemia, Koh i Noor, Lamy and Sevenseventeen. Every item has been carefully chosen to provide practicality, beauty or quirkiness. At lunch, a delicious choice of healthy salads are on offer as well as ever popular sausage rolls and scotch eggs from local farm, Sissinghurst Pigs. There is always a gorgeous selection of homemade cakes and pastries displayed to enjoy with a frothy Monmouth cappuccino or Tea Pig brew.
