RARE CHANCE TO WING WALK FOR DEMELZA
Demelza Hospice Care for Children in looking for 15 plucky people who are prepared to go sky high in a bid to raise funds for the charity .
If the prospect of jumping out of a plane and skydiving scares you silly , this could be the adrenalin rush alternative . No jumping involved – just a graceful soar through the skies , strapped to the fuselage of a Stearman biplane .
Wing Walking is a relatively new experience as a fundraiser and there are only a handful of places in the South East where you can give it a whirl .
Community fundraiser Katherine Cordrey , who has helped to organise the event for Demelza , said : “ Loads of people have done skydiving so we wanted to find something a bit different . Registration is only £ 99 and it will be the experience of a lifetime ! All we ask is that you try to raise at least £ 500 for Demelza Hospice Care for Children .”
The Wing Walk will take place at the Damyns Hall Aerodrome , near Rainham , Essex on Saturday 1st July .
You must be aged between 18 and 65 to take part and weigh under 77kg or 12 stone 2lbs – and you will be weighed on the day .
