This December Folkestone Creative Quarter are
starting Christmas early with four late night
shopping evenings! On Thursday 1, 8, 15 and
22 December this unique community of creative
shops, fashion boutiques and curiosities will
extend their opening hours until 7pm.
If you are stumped for gift ideas then pay
them a visit! You will discover re-styled vintage
furniture, modern interior design, beautiful
handmade jewellery, new and used vinyl, speciality
wines, vintage and designer clothing, bespoke
dress designs, original artwork, model kits and
remote control cars, musical instruments and
much more.
With live music and performances, special
offers, open studios, workshops and the hugely
popular Folkestone Living Advent Calendar, each
late night shopping evening offers something
new and the perfect opportunity to tick names
off your Christmas list.
As well as a fabulous shopping destination,
the Creative Quarter offers a plethora of food and
drink options with Spanish, Mediterranean, veggie/
vegan and Indian restaurants, a number of cosy
cafés and two specialist beer and ale pubs.
Perfect for taking some time out or as a treat for
that special somebody.
As you explore the Creative Quarter don’t
forget to vote in this year’s Christmas Window
Display Competition! The competition begins on
Friday 18 November for the Christmas Lights
Switch On and will run until Friday 16 December.

#CQXMAS. As well as a prize for the winning
window display, one member of the voting public
will also win a £100 voucher to be spent in the

Finally, expect an infectiously festive
atmosphere at the first ever Creative Quarter
Christmas Carol Service on Wednesday 14
December, 7pm at St Mary and St Eanswythe’s
Church. As well as singing traditional and 20th
Century carols there will be live music, readings,
a warming glass of mulled wine and a mince pie
or two!
