How do you raise money, and do you have
any upcoming events that our readers can
join in with?
We raise money in four different ways: bid writing,
via corporate support, community fundraising
and events. We just had our biggest event this
year, our annual row-a-thon, which raised
£14,000. People can support us by buying our
homeware range of kitchen equipment and our
Christmas cards, or help us by running a
Christmas stall at their school or at work.
What about volunteers? How important are
they to Dandelion Time, and what sort of
things do they do?
Volunteers are vital to our existence; we couldn’t
manage without them. We have volunteers who
look after animals, garden, do general
maintenance in the office or on the building, help
at events, help in the office… we couldn’t thrive
without our volunteers.
