Just to point out in case any of my clan are reading this , that this month ' s article isn ' t an open letter to my family . It would be incredibly unprofessional of me to use my position as The TechNinja , to procure brilliant gadgetty gifts from my relatives . That said , however , if I received any of the three brilliant tech toys featured this month , I would be a very happy geek !
First up is something for your mobile phone . With such a huge and vibrant industry as this , anyone who purchases an accessory or add-on for a phone is onto a winner , and will doubtless become the cool mum , dad , uncle or aunt they ' ve always wanted to be !
The mobile phone projector , rather in the same ilk as a Google cardboard VR headset , is a cheap and effective way of turning your mobile phone into a projector . Simple to set up and use , you slot your mobile phone into the back , where it sits on a rubber sticky grippy pad thing , and beams whatever is playing on it into a satisfyingly solid bit of glass lens .
You can adjust the size / focus by simply extending or shortening the cardboard tube that acts as a lens barrel . In a suitably dark room , with a decent bit of length to it , the projector works superbly , providing your loved one with their very own home cinema , and allowing them to catch up with Westworld or Poldark in style and comfort !
TechNinja recommends this especially for her , but anyone with a mobile phone will love this fun and easy-to-use gadget .

The process of building them was quite frankly , the best bit . Once done you had a very delicate toy that you couldn ' t really play with , and which usually sat on a shelf and gathered dust .
So the saltwater 4x4 engine car combines the best of both – a model kit that , thanks to its real 4x4 motor and chunky design , you can definitely play
