REENERGISE AT Tudor Park

If your inner dormouse is getting ready for hibernation just because the nights are drawing in , then wellbeing experts at Tudor Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club have some top tips to reenergise you .
Situated in Bearsted , near Maidstone , the hotel has an experienced team of fitness instructors and beauty therapists who can help you beat that autumnal sluggish feeling . Here are their six top tips to feel good this autumn :
1 . Drink more water – It helps with concentration levels and controls weight . Medics recommend 6-8 glasses of water a day ( around 2 litres ). If you find that hard to do , trying downloading a `drink more water ’ app onto your phone to remind you .
2 . Go ‘ walk-a-bout ’ – Take up the NHS 10,000 steps challenge . Walking builds stamina , burns calories and helps towards a healthy heart . Invest in a pedometer – you ’ ll be amazed at how household chores , DIY , running around after the children , or walking the stairs at work can add up in step numbers .
3 . Go nuts – rather than reach for the chocolate bar , or slice of toast in between meals , try a handful of nuts instead . They will leave you feeling fuller for longer and are packed with heart-healthy omega 3 fats . Almonds are the best nuts to snack on as they are also rich in vitamin E which helps maintain healthy skin , eyes and the immune system .
4 . Vitamin D – the sun doesn ’ t completely disappear in the autumn , so when it is shining make time for a 10-minute walk outside each day to improve your Vitamin D and K levels which strengthen your immune system as well as reduce anxiety and depression .
5 . Mental Stimulation – spend the longer evenings learning something new , perhaps an online course , foreign language , new craft or hobby . Giving our brain a workout enhances our moods , keeps boredom at bay , and enhance chances of success , achievement and sense of fulfilment .
6 . Mind your language – Try using upbeat language to lift your own spirits and those around you . It is all too easy to use double negatives when asked `how are you ’, such as ‘ not bad ’. Why not respond with , excellent , fabulous or wonderful instead ?
And if you want an extra boost this autumn , Tudor Park has a Twilight Spa package running until the end of October . Come along from 5pm and enjoy a 30-minute treatment , a glass of prosecco and full use of the leisure facilities for just £ 36 per person .
