OPPORTUNITY BORN IN
THE BARN RESTAURANT
WHICH NEEDS A NEW OWNER
RISING DEMAND FOR
HAND-CRAFTED KEEPSAKES
PROVIDES NEW OPPORTUNITIES
FOR ENTREPRENEURIAL MUMS
A new keepsake business based in Bearsted, Kent, has launched to the
craft and gift market producing hand-crafted finger, hand, foot and paw
print charms captured in 99.9% fine silver.
Laura Buchanan, the founder and creator of TwoGreenLane.com and mum
of one, made the brave step of leaving her corporate marketing job in
London and establishing the business in rural Kent.
“After having my daughter Esme in March 2015 I decided to take the big
step of leaving the corporate world and my stable job in marketing and
follow my passion and skills for craft and design,” explains Laura. “There
is such a growing demand for high-quality keepsakes that people can give
as gifts or buy for themselves and preserving precious finger, hand, foot
and paw prints in silver is such a beautiful way of doing this.
“The beauty of running a craft business from home is that I have been able
to train and work flexibly around my one-year-old little girl and practice
making the jewellery in the evenings when she is in bed. It’s been a long
road getting everything set up and having the website designed etc. however
I am really pleased with the outcome and can’t wait to get started on the
orders I have had already via my website and Facebook page.”
Laura set up Two Green Lane in honour of her late grandmother who lived
at Two, Green Lane in a little village in Bedfordshire. To find out more about

The Barn Restaurant in Rainham, Kent has been brought to the market by
specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co.
James Hughes, business agent at Christie & Co’s Maidstone office who is
handling the sale, comments: “The Barn Restaurant is an attractive property
and could not be better located for someone looking to run a business in
a tranquil setting beside the river. The building possesses a lot of character
and history and would be ideal for a range of different purchasers, including
first-time buyers as well as experienced operators. Given the buoyant market
in Kent, we expect lots of interest in this site.”
Located near the River Medway, the upmarket Tudor-style property contains
a main restaurant which is currently laid out for 36 covers. Christie & Co is
seeking £595,000 for the freehold interest in the property.
