The Aspinall Foundation in association with The Open Air Cinema Company are holding open air cinema events on the grasslands of Port Lympne Reserve. Due to the overwhelming success, two of these events are already sold out, but we do have tickets available for the screening of Jurassic Park on Saturday 20th August 2016. What about volunteers? How important are they to The Aspinall Foundation, and what sort of things do they do? As a small charity we are always looking for volunteers to help with our fundraising events. At the end of last year we ran a campaign to help purchase a vehicle for the sniffer dog project that we support in Congo, Africa. The conservation charity’s crime fighting team – PALF (Project for the Application of Law for Fauna) – has been working with sniffer dogs to confiscate bush meat, ivory and live animals from traffickers. www.aspinallfoundation.org The handlers and dogs are on the front line in the fight against wildlife crime and we needed help to keep them safe whilst travelling long distances, between known trafficking zones and airports.
