VISITKENT SUMMER HOLIDAY FUN AND GAMES AT Kent Life Kent Life Heritage Farm Park, near Maidstone, has unveiled a packed programme of summer holiday activities and events, including a visit by children’s favourite The Gruffalo and the attraction’s first-ever Ice Cream Festival. Six weeks of fun on the farm kick off on 23rd July with a fortnight of themed Nature Explorers. Check out the award-winning attraction’s nature trails, take part in animal activities and visit Kent Life’s farmyard friends. Come along on 31st July and see The Gruffalo, hear his story and meet the owls and mice he encounters on his way. Young and old alike can discover their creative side between 8th-21st August with the Creative Crafters, when there will be plenty of crafty activities including a visit to the Paint-aPot Studio. From 22nd August to 4th September, it’s summer holiday camp time featuring traditional games and races. Enjoy some seaside fun at the sandpit and build a sand castle, or sit back and watch the Punch and Judy Show. Then on 29th August, Kent Life hosts its first Ice Cream Festival, with ice cream vendors, chocolatiers and sweet stalls galore! Why not head over to Brundle’s Big Top and catch a show, including Claws & Jaws, Flip the Clown, Kent Life Entertainers, Kent Owl Academy and Nick Spellman AnimalMan. You can also now jump aboard the brand new land train for a tour of the gorgeous grounds or alternatively take a tractor ride. Admission to Kent Life costs adults £9.50; children £7.50 (aged 3-15); concessions £8.50; family ticket (two adults and two children) £29.95. Members and under-threes FREE. Opening times: 10am to 6pm, last admission at 5pm. Kent Life is the county’s premier rural heritage experience, set in 28 acres of countryside. Visitors can wander through period dressed historic buildings in the charming Vintage Village; 86 explore the beautiful gardens, orchard and one of the last hand-picked hop gardens in the country; ramble along the wildlife discovery trail and see the last working coal-fired oast house in Britain.
