The Adrian Cox Quartet // 4 Mar Formed in the summer of 2012, the Adrian Cox Quartet combines four of the UK's finest jazz musicians playing a mix of hard jazz and swing. Adrian has been billed as London's most charismatic reeds player and this is proven in his solid attack to the music he plays. Adrian is highly influenced by many of the greats including George Lewis, Jonny Hodges, Earl Bostic, Edmond Hall amongst others. The end result is a fresh take on the music he loves and lives. The Adrian Cox Quartet is completed by Nils Solberg guitar and vocals, George Trebar double bass and Mez Clough on drums who between them have toured extensively around the world playing at some of the most prestigious venues. 8pm. Every tiny detail is meticulously covered from costumes to authentic period instruments; from the ‘Liverpudlian’ banter to their ‘inflection perfect’ vocal mimicry. But it’s not only their sound that is so authentic; they bear an uncanny resemblance to the Fab Four.
