Breakfast at Café Nucleus at Nucleus Arts
We all know when we think of Chatham not always the most complimentary thoughts spring to mind,
however Café Nucleus is moving against the grain and have opened two surprising cafés in the heart of
town. Described as an ‘Oasis’, the two unique locations serves an amazing array of locally sourced foods
from their famous afternoon tea, to sandwiches, paninis, bagels, hot dishes to their amazing breakfasts.
At Café Nucleus they understand the importance
of breakfast, while maintaining their credentials
of traceability and sourcing the very best local
produce. Café Nucleus works with local suppliers
such as Turners Fine Foods, Fairseat Farm and
Speldhurst Quality Foods to name a few, ensuring
they serve only quality produce from traceable
origins.
The most popular dish on the breakfast
menu is unsurprisingly, the Full English. Served
with two rashers of award-winning Mackenzie’s
Yorkshire Smokehouse smoked back bacon,
two Speldhurst Sussex Cumberland sausages,
two fried Kentish Fairseat free-range farm eggs,
baked beans, Doreen’s Yorkshire award-winning
black pudding, grilled vine tomatoes (local when
in season) and finished with a choice of toast.
Other favourites on the breakfast menu
include their Champagne breakfast consisting of
Kentish scrambled eggs with waves of Scottish
smoked salmon with a glass of Champagne of
course! Or try the ‘How It Used To Be’ bacon
butty made with a generous three rashers of
Mackenzie’s Yorkshire smokehouse smoked
back bacon. There really is something for every
taste; they even have a vegan and vegetarian
breakfast options!
Breakfast is served daily Monday to Saturday,
10am till midday officially, although they normally
serve breakfast all day, every day. There are two
Café Nucleus’ in Chatham so it’s easy to get
confused. The one which serves breakfast is at
the award-winning Nucleus Arts Centre, at 272
High Street at the Debenhams end of town.
Convenient parking is available at the NCP on
Rhode Street.
