NEWS KENT’S FIRST REAL TIME DISCOVERY APP LAUNCHED IN JANUARY © Brinkhoff Mögenburg The We Love Kent team have released Kent’s first real-time discovery app which will revolutionise the way the 1.5 million people of Kent and the 44+ million visitors to the county, discover, interact and engage with businesses throughout the Garden of England. James Bradley, the founder of the company said: “As an entrepreneur I know firsthand how hard it can be to get marketing right for a business. It’s a balancing act between being cost effective and a waste of time. The We Love Kent app doesn’t just level the playing field for Kent businesses; it’s creating a whole new one. The impact and value of advertising through the app is clear and easily defined, making sure no business is left in the dark as to how effective our app is for them. For our users, we’re providing a wonderful and innovative new way to streamline how they discover everything Kent has to offer, from the big names to the hidden gems.” THE MARLOWE THEATRE HAS BEEN CHOSEN AS THE LAUNCH VENUE FOR A MAJOR NEW UK TOUR OF WAR HORSE. Users can download the app completely free, where they can post reviews, comments and pictures of their adventures directly to the businesses and attractions they’ve visited, allowing them to build relationships with the businesses they love. Users will also be able to keep track of their favourite businesses using the iLove feature, meaning they’ll be the first to receive news, offers and fresh information instantly. The National Theatre’s acclaimed production will be rehearsed in Canterbury before it opens there on 15th September 2017, where it will run until 14th October 2017. Tickets go on sale to Marlowe Friends on Thursday 21st January 2016 and the public on Monday 8th February 2016. Since opening in October 2011, The Marlowe has hosted the National Theatre’s People, One Man, Two Guvnors, and The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time. Theatre director Mark Everett believes it is the success of these visits that made the National pick Canterbury to launch the tour. “This is a huge honour for us all at The Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury and Kent,” Mark said. “Because the tour starts at The Marlowe, it will also be rehearsed here, which adds a whole new dimension as most shows we present are made elsewhere. “Attracting National Theatre productions was one of our key ambitions when the new Marlowe Theatre was being planned and built. I am absolutely delighted that we have managed to secure War Horse for our audiences. This stunning and ground-breaking production really is the icing on the cake.” LOCAL CARE HOME TRIUMPHS IN REGIONAL CARE AWARDS On Thursday 3rd December 2015, Signature Miramar, the stunning Care Home in Beltinge, Herne Bay was represented in the Regional Finals of the Great British Care Awards 2015 held in Brighton.
