FOUREX WINS VIRGIN MEDIA BUSINESSES’ PITCH TO RICH 2015
Entrepreneurs
and Co-Founders
Jeff Paterson and
Oliver Du Toit
Brand new and revolutionary money exchange
business, Fourex, founded by entrepreneurs Jeff
Paterson and Oliver Du Toit, has beaten over
2,500 other products and businesses to be
crowned winner of Virgin Media Businesses’ Pitch
to Rich competition in the 'New Things’ category
this June.
Offering a complete world first to the global market,
Fourex is set to revolutionise the way the UK
exchanges money. The idea is simple yet genius;
Fourex kiosks are able to accept unsorted coins
and notes (that are both in and out of circulation)
from over 150 currencies, and convert their value
into either British Pounds, Euros, or US Dollars.
The software within the kiosks is able to process
and evaluate each coin in a fraction of a second,
distinguishing it from anything else found in the
foreign exchange market, and offers undeniable
value for money.
Unlike its competitors, Fourex is also able to
accept even the smallest denominations, and
there are no hidden fees or commissions. This
fills the huge gap in the market for the leftover
coins and notes found in wallets and purses after
holidays that no big company is willing to
exchange. The exchange rates are updated daily
in line with market trends, and are clearly displayed
on its kiosks, enabling complete transparency.
Customers also have the choice to donate part
or all of their exchange to one of Fourex’s six
charity partners – UNICEF, The Railway Children,
The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, The
London Transport Museum, EllenorLions Hospice
and the UK Stroke Association.
Sir Richard Branson said of the finalists: “All nine
can go on and do really well with their
businesses… in the end we decided we would
go with who we think will be the most likely to be
the most successful in their business.”
Jeff Paterson, co-founder of Fourex comments:
“What a day! We’re absolutely over the moon to
have won Virgin Media Businesses’ Pitch to Rich!
It’s such an amazing achievement and we’re
humbled by all of the support we have received
so far. We’re looking forward to seeing what the
rest of 2015 brings and to start rolling out the
machines later this year.”
Fourex has won a share of over £1,000,000 of
prizes including advertising campaigns, cash
investments (£50,000), mentoring and support
from Sir Richard Branson and his team at Virgin.
Fourex’s solution to an everyday problem is set
to completely shake up the world of foreign
exchange. To learn more, visit:

Tudor Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club, in
Bearsted, near Maidstone, has taken the
stereotypical conference room setting and shaken
it by its heels.
In a launch of its new Meetings Imagined concept
on Friday 26th June, Kent businessmen and
women were shown ideas that will put an end to
lethargy and boredom in meetings and
conferences of the future.
Visitors experienced first hand some of the ideas
that the Tudor Park meetings team will now be
offering. On show were rooms that broke the
mould of the formal conference layout –
comfortable sofas and chairs to encourage
uninhibited discussion; games and exercise
equipment for distressing during refreshment
breaks; and state-of-the-art technology to

vegetable energy drinks, one-shot salads, and
brain-boosting healthy snacks are now all part of
the Meetings Imagined offer.
Demonstrations were given on the new Meetings

coffee refills, change the room temperature and
order more equipment without the need for the
conference or meetings leader leaving their seat.
“The launch was just a taster of what we can now
offer as part of the Meetings Imagined experience,”
says Natalee Moona, senior events manager. “We
want our business clients to get the best out of
their staff or delegates, and so we will create the
environment to make people feel inspired and to
ensure the event is not only productive, but
memorable.”
A major talking point was the food, which is
