One is simply astonished by the arresting sight of the most beautiful Ferraris. It is by no means a requisite that visitors have an interest in cars in order to fully appreciate the visual feast that awaits. The myriad of sumptuous shapes and vivid colours provide a potent and heady mix. You will find true masterpieces of automotive art and Ferraris with significant historical importance alongside modern-day vehicles from the Italian supercar manufacturer. Ian Barkaway started the company in September 2011, and has since worked tirelessly with his team to offer Ferrari restorations and servicing to a world-class standard. After just four short years, the idea is most definitely working. With an ever-expanding client list, the company boasts the highest possible accolades with prizes and Best of Show trophies being awarded at the Ferrari owners' club, National Concours; Villa d’Este in Lake Como, Italy; and finally the inviteonly Salon Prive’ Concours d’Elegance in London. Whilst prizes may emanate from the most exclusive events on the Ferrari social calendar, one should expect to find a far more down to earth approach when visiting Barkaways. Whether looking for advice, to book a routine service, or to discuss some restorative work, visitors are greeted with honesty and transparency; underpinning the ethos of the company. The quality of Ferrari for sale is breathtaking, with the newest arrival being this stunning 1995 Ferrari 512 TR (as pictured), resplendent in Rosso Corsa Red with cream leather interior. If the model name is not familiar then you may well recognise the car's distinctive shape. The TR stands for testarossa, and yes, it is a similar model to the one that Don Johnson drove in Miami Vice. Barkaways latest venture involves a vehicle acquisition and sales service; this was at the direct request of the company’s existing customers. Barkaways pride itself on doing things differently and as such responded by asking one of their longstanding customers to setup and manage the department. This particular car has a mere 3,872 miles from new, equating to only 194 miles driven each year. That said, this testarossa was used early on in its life purely as a Concours car, essentially being trailered to showgrounds across the country. It was awarded several trophies during its time as a Concours' entrant and on the last outing, received the award for Best in Show with a point score very close to maximum. Barkaways is also in a position to help its existing clients' market and sell their own cars. A truly fastidious approach is applied to the preparation and marketing process. Each vehicle receives a photographic record along with a full and detailed video, which is displayed on the company website. 149 Many consider the 512 TR model an evolved and more sophisticated version of the original testarossa, which first appeared in 1985.
