We’ve been weighing up having a spray tan but it makes
me super nervous (I’d hate to end up orange!), so we’ve
all spent the last week trying various self tanners and I
now feel like I’m an expert! The Boots at Bluewater has
such a wide range that we didn’t really know where to
begin, but now I can safely recommend Clarins' Instant
Smooth Self Tanning mousse (£20 for 30ml) if you’re
slightly paler like I am. Sam and Jen are much more olive
skinned so they both loved Fake Bake's Instant Self-Tan
(£27.95 for 207ml) as it suits their skin tone much better.
I’m definitely going to opt for lighter colours to show off
my tan. I’ve reserved this Salmie Layer Effect Dress (£195)
from L.K.Bennett as I think it’ll be perfect for a spring
evening and it’s something I’ll wear again, especially
during summer. I probably should be prioritising
something to transport all of this stuff in! I’ve not really
got a nice weekend travel bag anymore. Whenever I’ve
been away in the last few years it’s either been the four
of us and therefore an entire carload of stuff, or just Dom
and I, and we usually share. I love this Wayfarer Wheeled
Suitcase (£375) from Reiss as it's really cute but still has
wheels so I won’t break my back trying to carry everything!
Fingers crossed Sam actually likes everything we’ve
planned for her; I’m sure she will but there’s always a
smidgen of doubt. I’ll be sure to let you know how it goes!
