Following the successes of their recent exhibitions at South East Open
Studios and various pop-up shops, a group of Kent-based professional
glass artists are curating an exhibition at The Pie Factory in Margate, for
the first time. This exhibition, entitled Light Colour and Texture, will showcase
the artists’ responses to these inspirational elements, both in their work and
within the gallery. “We aim to create an exciting and dramatic exhibition,
using the theatrical atmosphere of the venue to show a vibrant mix of work,”
says founding artist, Lucy Prescott. There is something for everyone, from
small items and glass jewellery to large scale artwork, with the chance to
buy direct from the artists. The very affordable prices make this an opportunity
not to be missed!
