UK Half Term Breaks cont.
Chessington World of Adventures
Cornwall Surf Academy
Although traditionally term time is when the children learn, and the holidays
is when they relax, we’re pretty sure that if you offered them the chance to
try something new and thrilling, they would jump at it! Cornwall is worldrenowned for its excellent surfing beaches, and there are plenty of surf
schools that offer tailored classes for families looking to try it out. At
Newquay's Cornwall Surf Academy, try anything from a half-day lesson to
a five-day course; all surfboards and wetsuits are provided, and it also offers
coasteering (making your way around a rocky coastline without the aid of
any water craft) if you are feeling particularly adventurous!

Chessington World of Adventures has certainly grown since it first began
as a zoo in 1931. The theme park came along just over 50 years later, and
since 1987, it has become one of the most popular parks in the UK. Today,
there is so much to do here that two specially themed hotels have been
built to accommodate those families who want to ensure they have enough
time to do and see everything – choose between the Azteca and Safari!
There are over 1,000 exotic animals to see at Chessington Zoo, and the
Sea Life Centre is full of weird and wonderful creatures. The park itself has
over 40 different rides, and 10 individually themed lands, so you certainly
won’t want to miss any of it!
