Bang & Olufsen of Maidstone
OPENS FOR BUSINESS AT ROYAL STAR ARCADE
Bang & Olufsen of Maidstone has opened its doors at the town’s historically renowned
Royal Star Arcade, after moving from its previous King Street premises.
The new showroom sees Bang & Olufsen of
Maidstone's customers enjoying a significantly
better facility that is not only more spacious, but
which also offers a more convenient and central
location at the heart of Kent’s county town.
Over double the size of the previous shop, the
new showroom allows an extensive selection of
the ever-expanding Bang & Olufsen and B&O
PLAY ranges to be demonstrated in store. This
includes the recently launched BeoVision Avant
85 television with its incredible 85” screen, an
innovative product that boasts a picture quality
four times that of a ‘normal’ High Definition
television.
The move also brings Bang & Olufsen within
reach of those who may have previously ruled
out the brand’s prestigious products; the new
premises incorporates a second shop that is
devoted to the sale of guaranteed, handpicked
pre-owned equipment, together with refurbished
items and discontinued lines.
Upgrading to an enhanced retail environment is
the latest development in the success story of
Bang & Olufsen of Maidstone. The business has
been a mainstay in Maidstone for over 25 years
and is stronger than ever after last year becoming
part of the family-owned Beoshop group, which
also operates Bang & Olufsen retailers in
Bexleyheath, Bromley, Tunbridge Wells, and
Cambridge.
While the location of Bang & Olufsen of Maidstone
is entirely new, existing customers will find that
familiar faces are still expertly looking after their
every need. The showroom continues to be
manned by Carl Chapman and Philip Smith, who
have a combined 60-year service within Bang &
Olufsen. They are also joined by sales executive
Callum Tennant, who has just completed his 12month apprenticeship.
Dealer principal of the Beoshop group of retailers,
Paul Blake explains that customers can look
forward to the best ever Bang & Olufsen of
Maidstone experience.

“Our significant investment in making Bang &
Olufsen of Maidstone our flagship store perfectly
illustrates how much we value our local
customers; the refurbishment of the showroom
took six weeks before we were happy that it met
the exacting standards that our visitors deserve,”
said Paul.
“We’ve only been open for a matter of days but
the reaction has been very positive, from existing
customers and also new visitors who never before
realised there was a Bang & Olufsen store in
Maidstone.
“In fact, so interested in the move were a number
of our longstanding customers that they actually
joined us in completing the refurbishment works.”
