SUPPORTING BUSINESSES
AND ENTREPRENEURS
Housed in a multi-purpose space on the high street, Sidcup & Co. has brought
a wealth of exciting businesses to the Kent-based town. As well as a range of
independent retailers, selling products from clothing and accessories to homeware
and unique artwork, it also serves as a base for other businesses such as an estate
agent, clothing designer and multimedia specialist. Sidcup & Co. provides them
with office and event space, meeting rooms, presentation facilities and more, on
flexible and affordable terms.
Front Row Seat Media, a multimedia company
providing video editing, graphic design and
photography, has recently joined Sidcup & Co.
in a bid to build its profile. Founder, Dayo
Ogunmuyiwa, is looking to connect with local
businesses, with the hope to create video
promotions and adverts for their websites. Dayo
says: “It has given me some great opportunities
to collaborate with the other businesses, broaden
my portfolio and make new contacts.”
Designer and seamstress, Susannah Henley,
uses the shop as a base for day-to-day work
and consultations with her customers. She
explains: “It gives me a great base to advertise
my services and collections from the Susannah
Henley London range, and I also use the events
space for promotion. I am planning a fashion
show with the other clothing brands at Sidcup
& Co. to showcase the great range of styles and
fabrics we offer.”

Sidcup & Co. has also helped to launch new
business, the Magnolia Cake House. Young
entrepreneur, Rosie Bayne, offers made-to-order
bespoke cupcakes and celebration cakes. Rosie
says: “I’ve been able to get some really useful
advice on my business plan, plus guidance on
how to raise awareness of the company. It has
put me in a strong position to take the business
forward and attract new customers.”
Sidcup & Co. is part of the In Store for Sidcup
regeneration programme, funded by the Mayor
of London, Boris Johnson’s Outer London Fund
and the London Borough of Bexley. The Outer
London Fund (OLF) is helping to increase the
vibrancy and growth of high streets across
London. £1.2 million has been provided by the
OLF, with a further £600,000 of match funding
from the London Borough of Bexley. Visit
