The academic year at Wellesley House School began with strong intake of
new pupils, matching its highest in recent years. This full-boarding prep
school is now operating a waiting list for the ever-popular girls’ boarding
house, The Orchard. Boys and girls both benefit from a Monday to Saturday
timetable, in which academic excellence is matched by opportunities for
sport, drama, art and music, as the broad range of scholarships to senior
schools will testify. Meanwhile, the weekends are packed with activity

Angela's Swim School
St Lawrence College pupils are celebrating a
significant jump in top grades at GCSE, with the
overall percentage of A* and A grades increasing
to 41%, a leap of over 10% compared to last
year. In total, 15 pupils gained at least eight A*/A
grades, with top performers Rudy Hagemichael
and Ben Spencer gaining ten A* grades each.

Pupils also celebrated another bumper set of
exam results at A-Level, leading to many pupils
going to their first choice of university to study
courses including Medicine, Music, Law and
Business Economics.
Angela's Swim School encourages people of all
ages and abilities to learn to swim to a high
standard. The unique style of teaching that the
top quality instructors use has proven effective
for thousands of children and adults who have
learned to swim through the programme. Angela's
Swim School offers a wide range of classes, and
prides itself on its ability to accommodate small
groups and private lessons at all of its venues,
believing that this enables swimmers to make
maximum progress in the shortest time possible.
It also runs classes for babies as young as four
months old.
52% of parents do not think their children could
swim to safety if they found themselves in danger
in open water. Angela’s Swim School is working
to make swimming lessons accessible to everyone
in a bid to help reduce this scary statistic. It is
proud to offer the Royal Life Saving Society’s
Rookie Lifeguard Programme; Rookie is a fun

and exciting lifesaving awards programme that
teaches children water safety, self-rescue,
personal survival and lifesaving sport skills. A
fantastic programme for swimmers as young as
eight years of age, this course plays a vital role
in water safety.
