insideKENT'S PRE-LAUNCH PARTY AT CANTERBURY'S
LATEST RESTAURANT OPENING, THE AMBRETTE
TO CELEBRATE THE OPENING OF CANTERBURY'S MOST
ANTICIPATED NEW RESTAURANT, THE AMBRETTE,
insideKENT HELD AN INTIMATE PRIVATE PRE-LAUNCH
PARTY ON THURSDAY 17TH JULY. A SUCCESSFUL NIGHT,
GUESTS WERE INVITED TO ENJOY AN EVENING OF GREAT
FOOD, DRINK AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO SOCIALISE
WITH OTHER LOCAL BUSINESSES.
Dev Biswal, chef patron of The Ambrette
award-winning restaurants in Margate and Rye,
opened his third branch in Canterbury on
Monday 21st July.
The TV chef, who champions a ‘curryfree menu’ of south Indian style dishes utilising
locally sourced seasonal ingredients with a
modern twist, has opened in the site of the
former Beer Cart Arms to critical acclaim.

Complimentary Kentish red, white and
sparkling wine was served upon arrival, as
were an array of fabulous Kentish juices.
Representative of the Ambrette's impressive
wine menu, drinks were handpicked to
compliment the delicious canapés and
tasters prepared by chef patron, Dev Biswal
and his team.
The Canterbury-based restaurant is not
only the biggest Ambrette so far with
approximately 100 seats, but it seeks to explore
all-day dining with an Indian accent, as well as
offering breakfast and afternoon teas.
