Sissinghurst Castle
Historic, poetic and iconic, Sissinghurst Castle is a Kentish refuge dedicated to beauty. Since Vita Sackville-West and
Harold Nicolson began transforming it in the 1930s, its world-renowned garden and stunning architecture have seen
it take the title of one of the UK's most admired estates.
From the tower and gardens to the library and
Granary Restaurant, there is plenty to do and
see for the adults at this National Trust property,
but what about fun for the kids?
Created by the National Trust, 50 things Fridays
is a summer project set up to encourage children
to explore and rediscover the outdoors by
completing a list of free outdoor tasks before
they're 11 3/4. Pick up a scrapbook at your local

Bushcraft skills day // 15 August, 11am-3pm
Join our ranger team and learn some essential
bushcraft skills.
Adventure walk // 22 August, 1-3pm
Join in with this fast-paced adventure walk to
discover trails, barefoot walks and much more.
Pond life // 29 August, 1-2.30pm
Get closer to nature and join Sissinghurst's ranger
team to find out what lives below their ponds'
surface this summer.
A child ticket for 50 things Fridays cost £6.
Wild art // 25 July, 1-3pm
Create some incredible wild art pieces with your
group around the estate.
Bug life // 1 August, 1-2.30pm
Discover more about the secret lives of bugs and
make a cosy home for an insect.
