CREATIVE INTERIOR COURSES
with Julia Brendel
Luxury textile designer, Julia Brendel, is teaming up with professional industry experts and opening up her
beautiful home and studio in Kent to run a series of creative interior courses to inspire and educate those
with an interest in the home interior, creative design processes and homemade crafts. Workshops will
include a range of techniques including designing and creating roman blinds and pelmets, making cushions,
curtain making and lampshade making all with traditional passementerie. The set of short creative courses
enables those participating to widen their practical skills whilst creating a truly unique item under the
guidance of industry professionals.
The workshops are run from the Julia Brendel
Studio, a beautiful outbuilding of her Grade II
listed Georgian farmhouse home that was built
in the 1520s. It’s set in stunning surroundings of
one of the most beautiful Kentish villages, T
unstall,
which was voted the most beautiful village of
2000. Courses are run by Julia who has
handpicked experienced and well-established
interior design professionals who bring with them
a wealth of passion, knowledge and years of
experience in the field.
Classes are sociable and educational and limited
to six people to ensure all participants receive
personal attention. Offered to both groups and
individuals, all materials are supplied on the day
with a break to enjoy a delicious lunch set in over
an acre of beautifully landscaped gardens with
a featured orchard, formal lawns and a hidden
garden. The courses are aimed at those wanting
to learn a valuable new skill, advance their existing
artistry for a commercially viable business or for

those who enjoy creating new crafts. The varied
mix of courses is open to all levels of experience.
