Recently, my brother and his family paid me a visit from America, and
couldn’t get over how gorgeous Kent is. It’s easy to overlook when I see it
each and every day, but showing them around really made me stop and
‘smell the roses’ - quite literally on some occasions.

We took day trips to Leeds Castle, the Coastal Park in Folkestone, Hever
Castle, Dover Castle, Canterbury and Reculver; and a fabulous steam
train ride on the Kent & East Sussex Railway to Bodiam Castle. Being a
‘tourist’ for a few weeks reminded me how lucky we are to live in such a
beautiful place - especially in the spring and summer.

Port Lympne Wild Animal Park. Kent’s very own safari park, run by the
Aspinall Foundation, will not only have you amazed at the variety of
animals and fun things to do in the park, but the views of Kent and the
sea beyond are unsurpassed. Read all about their exciting plans for this
