Oscar & Bentley's – Serving a 100% glutenfree menu, diners can enjoy fresh food made to

Deeson's Restaurant specialises in traditional

exquisite three-course meal in the Michael Caines

European cuisine, accompanied by an exceptional

The Old Brewery Tavern – With its striking
sliding glass windows and bright modern
furnishings, The Old Brewery Tavern is a great
venue – not just for drinks and dancing, but for

Chapman's Seafood Restaurant – An
independent, local seafood restaurant with a
brasserie-style, Chapman's offers the freshest

Mrs Jones' Kitchen – An all-day restaurant
specialising in home cooked British food, Mrs
Jones' Kitchen prides itself on making all of their

Boho Café – A true must-visit, Boho boasts an
eclectic bohemian style, as well as an unrivalled

business, Tiny Tim's Tearoom serves the finest
selection of loose-leaf teas, award-winning coffee,
delicious afternoon teas and a yummy daily food
menu.
The Goods Shed – Serving seasonal locally
sourced food, The Goods Shed Restaurant is a
great spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner. What's
more you can do some shopping at the on-site
daily farmers' market too.

Lounge on the Farm – Lounge on the
Farm, Canterbury's famed music festival, returns
for its ninth anniversary on Saturday 2nd August
at Merton Farm, Canterbury.
Canterbury Food and Drink Festival –
Canterbury's annual Food and Drink Festival will
return to Dane John Gardens this year over the
weekend of 26-28th September. It's Kent's bestloved food festival, featuring growers, producers,
artisans and musicians from all over Kent.
Canterbury Festival – Canterbury Festival is
Kent's international two-week arts festival and
attracts around 60,000 visitors to over 200 events.
This year the festival will take place from 18th
October – 21st November.
St Nicholas Festival – Founded to increase
awareness of the life, history and traditions r
elating
to St Nicholas, this festival raises money in aid
of organisations and charities that benefit young
people, both locally and further afield. The annual
city parade will take place on 6th December
2014.
Canterbury Cathedral Service of Carols – One
of the most popular events of the year, the
breathtakingly beautiful carol service in Canterbury
Cathedral is not to be missed.
Demelza House Carol Service – This sell-out
concert held in aid of Demelza Hospice Care for
Children at the cathedral each December, is one
of the most poignant and exhilarating events in
the annual calendar.

The Beaney House of Art & Knowledge
The Beaney is an art museum and library situated
in the heart of the historic city of Canterbury.
Following a £14 million restoration project (£7
million of which was provided by the Heritage
Lottery Fund) the revitalised Beaney re-opened
its doors to the public in September 2012.
This fabulous facility provides state-of-the-art
exhibition galleries, a new and extended library,
excellent educational facilities and a varied
programme of interactive events for all ages.
