Craft your own beauty products with new beauty website, DIY Beauty Diva
The market for organic cosmetics and personal
care products is still undergoing a huge boom as
people worldwide want to know that the cosmetics
they apply are both safe and natural. However,
this global trend is also creating an interesting
side effect, whereby people are teaching
themselves to craft their own homemade skincare
and hair care products, instead of spending their
hard-earned cash on products filled with long
lists of ingredients that they don't recognise. All
hail the revolution in DIY beauty.
In a bid to host the largest collection of top quality
DIY beauty recipes on the internet, Lorraine writes
many of the recipes herself but also welcomes
contributions from anyone who has a recipe which
they love and wish to share. The only requirements
asked are that the recipes must:
• Contain only natural ingredients
• Be recipes that anyone can replicate
• Be good for your skin and your body
• Be safe
• Contain shelf-life information
Tapping into this trend is UK-based business
Herb & Hedgerow, who this month launched DIY
Beauty Diva (www.diybeautydiva.com), a website
dedicated to publishing DIY beauty recipes that
really do work. Run by Botanical Skincare Scientist
Lorraine Dallmeier, DIY Beauty Diva is the new
go-to hub for homemade beauty and skincare
recipes.
Ranging from face masks and lip balms, to bath
soaks, all of the recipes are 100% natural, fun
and easy to make. Users are also encouraged to
rate recipes after use and share them across
social networking sites using the hashtag
#DIYBeauty. By doing so, it is hoped more people
will gain access to the knowledge and skills
involved with 'beautycrafting'.
Herb & Hedgerow is no stranger to the DIY beauty
