EDUCATION IN ASSOCIATION WITH Early years expansion at Dulwich Prep, Cranbrook, forges ahead Nash House, the Early Years department of Dulwich Preparatory School, Cranbrook, is undergoing a complete transformation. At the end of the project the building will have four new bright and spacious classrooms linked to new cloakroom spaces, and a spacious and airy lobby, with a reception area. Each classroom will be south-facing and will have its own outdoor learning area (under a retractable canopy), leading into a completely new playground. The only room to remain in its present function and form is the school hall, although this will have the benefit of new heating and air conditioning, as well as being renovated and redecorated. However, plans are ahead of schedule and the children have been enjoying their new playground since the summer; with the timber fort and moat and the wooden tractor proving particularly popular. Oast Nursery also took possession of their new classroom in November, and the first Reception classroom will be ready by spring half term. The entire project will be completed by the end of 2014. 53 Headmaster Mr Paul David commented: "We are delighted with the progress of the development, and it is wonderful to see the children benefiting already from the fantastic purpose-built facilities which have been created for them." Dulwich Preparatory School, Cranbrook, is an independent day and flexible boarding prep school catering for boys and girls from the ages of 3-13 years. Early Years funding is available for ages 3-5.
