Now in its second year, the show has some exciting new exhibits for visitors to see including: The Naked House Designed to show a section of a new build as it comes together after ‘1st fix’ – giving a fascinating insight into how things are installed from ICF blockwork (insulated concrete forms) and underfloor heating, to the roof trusses and floor joists. Plotsearch Zone Will give access to Plotsearch, the UK’s premier live online database plus a gallery of current available plots of land in the South East. Self Build Academy Offers taster sessions of Self Build Academy training courses delivered by Potton, which is designed to give essential knowledge for all self builders. Exhibitors will be showcasing some of the best solutions on the market for building your own home, adding more space to your existing property or fitting a new stylish kitchen or underfloor heating system. The range of exhibitors will include some of the best known names in home building and renovation including ScandiaHus, Wunda Group, Potton and Kloeber. Other exhibitors, including Total Kitchens by George Rose, will focus on how to put the wow factor into your interior finish. Alternative Self Build Techniques There will be new live demos from ‘The Centre for Alternative Technology’ to inspire self builders on the merits of green building, energy conservation and renewable energy generation. As well as finding practical solutions, visitors can see and touch thousands of innovative and traditional products and gain independent one to one advice from a team of experts who can help answer questions about your next project. 125 Visitors can also attend any of the eight free seminars and workshops which are designed to offer advice on every aspect of a building project.
