SWIFT COOKERY SCHOOL OPENS
Swift House Cookery School, which has recently opened in Bethersden near Ashford in Kent, has announced its programme of cookery courses, including a session with Dev Biswal, chef patron of the award-winning Ambrette restaurants in Margate and Rye. Swift House Cookery School is owned and managed by Caroline Phillips and sponsored by Callebaut, the famous Belgian chocolate company. It was Callebaut’s internationally acclaimed Chocolate Academy where Caroline learned the craft of chocolatiering. Caroline’s vision for Swift House Cookery School has inspired a diverse range of professional and experienced chefs, keen to share their specialist knowledge with both amateur and more experienced cooks. “Courses are designed to allow even the complete beginner to leave at the end of the day with a feeling of real achievement, having produced food to a professional standard whilst having great fun,” says Caroline. The Ambrette’s Dev Biswal will share his culinary tips of how to balance flavours, spices and textures at the school on 20th October, 9.30am - 3.30pm. The cost is £125 per head. Chocolate and Classic Vintage Cupcakes, a Pastry Masterclass and Thai Cookery are just some of the many courses offered at Swift House.
