Crafty Basketry provides basket-weaving workshops for kids from 8 to 82 , complete beginners , and those with experience . Set in tranquil surroundings , the aim is to relax and feel the healing qualities of rewilding - becoming one with nature again ; the way we are meant to be . Although basket weaving is strenuous work , you will become aware of the therapeutic benefits of working with head , heart and hands and the importance of body and mind being in sync .
You will not only learn how to weave all fundamental , ancient techniques , but will also learn about cultivation , preparation , use of materials ( willow and hedgerow ), and how and where to find and use them and will have a lovely basket to show for your efforts .
